Dr S Ilango’s has been working as a consultant gastrointestinal surgeon in Chennai, India. He has specialized in Surgical gastroenterology, from Madras Medical College, qualifying for the M.Ch degree in Surgical Gastroenterology. His special interests are in pancreatic diseases like acute and chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. He has also done extensive work in Podiatric care in Diabetes mellitus. His research interest include care paradigms in pancreatitis, resuscitation in acute pancreatitis and pathogenesis of pancreatic cancer in chronic pancreatitis.

On the 1st June Managing Director of Allied Insurance Mr Abdul Wahid Thaufeeq and Managing Director of SIMDI Company Mr Abdulla Yasir met in the offices of Allied Insurance, Male' to officially signoff a Service Provider Agreement between Allied Insurance and IMDC. A number of key management staff from both Allied Insurance and IMDC were present to witness this momentous occasion.
Provision of IMDC services and automatic claim processing to valid Medical Insurance policy holders of Allied Insurance will commence from Saturday, 5th June 2010.
Dr. Jeslin John Justus (MBBS , FAGE ) trained in ultra-sonology from Mediscan's Channai has joined IMDC Multispecialty Hospital in Addu , Maldives. Dr. Jeslin will be consulting in the specialty of sonology and will also be consulting as a General Practitioner. Dr. Jeslin's specialty ranges in Abdominal , Pelvic , Obstetric Sonography.
Dr. Jeslin has previously worked in Manju Nursing Home a Multispecialty Hospital in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu and also in SP Multispecialty Hospital Kerela. He was also a visiting sonology consultant in Radha Krishna Hospital in Kula Sekharam, Pious Hospital , Carmel Hospital and Vinod Hospital.
Dr. Jeslin's is very passionate about Maldives and serving the community.
IMDC will be operating a shuttle service for the local community to commute to the IMDC facility from the islands of Feyadhoo, Maradhoo- Feydhoo, Maradhoo and Hithadhoo. The service will run Saturdays, Mondays and Thursdays and will pick up patients and their immediate family from Feydhoo Bodu Magu at 8.00am and will travel along the main areas and will include a return trip at 2.00pm leaving from IMDC. Cost per return trip will be Mrf 30 from Feyadhoo, Maradhoo-Feydhoo and Maradhoo and passengers from Hithadhoo will be charged Mrf 10.
