Medical tourism is a term initially coined by travel agencies and the mass media to describe the rapidly-growing practice of traveling to another country to obtain health care. More recently the phrase " Global Healthcare " has emerged, and may replace the earlier terms. The word Medical tourism or health tourism was coined when people started looking outside west for cheaper medical treatment with international quality.
